Our Story

Maggie and James met on October 20th of 2016

Their first date was a bike ride that turned into a drink that turned into a meal. Maggie was charmed by James’s eyes and how easy it was to talk with him. James was utterly smitten. At the end of the night, James asked, “When can I see you again?” They spent an afternoon in the park eating Mediterranean food, watching hundreds kids fly kites at a festival, and playing two truths and a lie. Despite the fact that James’s bike fell over on the bike rack, bending the wheel and rendering it unable to be ridden, he once again asked, “When can I see you again?”

A year later

James and Maggie walked nearly 400 miles together from Lisbon, Portugal to Santiago de Compostela, Spain. It was an incredible and memorable experience. They found that the camino provided for their every need, and after three difficult days, made life-long friends. Hiking and camping remains one of their favorite activities to do together. Maggie is vying for another Camino, some time, any time, all the time <3

On their fourth anniversary

James proposed to Maggie in Piedmont Park where they had their second date - the place where they really started to get to know one another.

They're so excited to start the next phase of their lives together and can't wait to celebrate with you, some over Zoom, in July!
